The Maternity Pillow
What makes the RestingBelly pillow different?
Most pregnancy pillows have one fixed shape. RestingBelly gives you four separate cushions: two side wedges, a long support pillow and a smaller cushion. You can place support under your bump, behind your back, between your knees or wherever you need a little extra comfort.
As your body changes, you can move the cushions instead of trying to fit yourself around a large U-shaped pillow. Use the full set when you want support on several sides, or just one or two pieces when you want more room in bed.
What comes with the pillow?
Your set includes two side wedges, one long support pillow and a fourth, smaller cushion for extra support wherever you need it. Removable covers and a vacuum storage bag are included too.
The wedges can support your bump and back, while the long pillow can sit between your knees or alongside your body. Place the small cushion wherever a little extra support feels good. You can use all four cushions together or change the setup from night to night.
When should I start using a pregnancy pillow?
There is no particular week you have to reach before using a pregnancy pillow. Some mums like extra support early in pregnancy; others start when their bump grows or their usual sleeping position becomes less comfortable.
You can begin with one cushion and add the others as your needs change. The idea is to help you find a comfortable resting position, whether that is now or later in your pregnancy. If you have questions about sleep positions for your own pregnancy, your midwife or healthcare professional can advise you.
How do I set it up for side sleeping?
Start by placing one side wedge gently under your bump and the other behind your back. Put the long pillow between your knees and, if comfortable, down toward your ankles. The fourth, smaller cushion can go wherever you feel you need a little extra support.
There is no single setup you must follow. Move the cushions closer together or farther apart until your body feels settled and nothing presses uncomfortably against you. You can also turn to your other side and rearrange the pieces without rebuilding one large pillow.
Can I use the pieces separately?
Yes. Each of the four cushions can be moved and used on its own. On some nights you may want support under your bump and behind your back. On others, the long pillow between your knees or the small cushion in one spot may be enough.
This flexibility is useful as your bump grows and your comfort changes. Start with the areas that need support most, then add or remove pieces until the setup feels right for you.
Will it take over the bed?
RestingBelly is designed to give you targeted support without surrounding your whole body with one large U-shaped pillow. The separate cushions can be placed close to you, leaving the rest of the mattress more open.
If you share a bed or simply like to move around, use only the pieces that help you that night. You can still bring all four cushions together when you want more support. How much room the set uses depends on the arrangement you choose.
Can I use it after my baby is born?
Yes. The cushions can still be useful for your own comfort after pregnancy. Try them behind your back or under your arms while you sit and feed, or arrange them around yourself when you are resting.
Stay with your baby throughout feeding and keep their face and airway clear. The RestingBelly pillow is an adult support pillow; it is not a baby sleep surface. If your baby falls asleep, move them to a suitable firm, flat sleep space.
Can I use it if I am not pregnant?
Of course. You do not need to be pregnant to enjoy a little extra support while resting or sleeping on your side. The separate cushions let you choose where to add comfort without using the whole set every time.
For example, you may like the long pillow between your knees, a wedge behind your back or the small cushion where you need it most. Move the pieces around until you find an arrangement that feels natural for you.
Comfort, materials & care
Do I have to sleep on my left side?
No. The pillow can support you when you lie on either side. If your left hip or shoulder needs a break, turn to your right and move the cushions with you. The wedges and long pillow are separate, so you can make the same comfortable setup on the other side.
Sleep advice can depend on your stage of pregnancy and personal health. If you have been given specific guidance by your midwife or doctor, follow that advice. The pillow is there to help you feel supported in the position that is right for you.
What if I wake up on my back?
Try not to worry. If you wake up on your back, roll onto your side and settle the cushions around you again. You can move the back wedge closer to your body if that makes side sleeping feel more supported.
A pillow cannot guarantee that you will stay in one position all night. If lying down makes you dizzy, short of breath or unwell, or you have concerns about your sleeping position, speak with your midwife or healthcare professional for advice that fits your pregnancy.
I usually sleep on my front. Can the pillow help me get comfortable on my side?
If you are used to sleeping on your front, a new position can take time to feel natural. Try putting one wedge under your bump and another behind your back, with the long pillow between your knees. The small cushion can fill a gap where you want a little more support.
Start with a loose arrangement and move the pieces in small steps. You do not have to use all four at once. If you are unsure which position is suitable for you during pregnancy, check with your midwife or doctor.
Can it help when my hips or lower back feel uncomfortable?
The cushions let you support several areas at once. A wedge behind your back may help you feel steadier on your side, while the long pillow between your knees can make it easier to settle your legs and hips. You can also support your bump and use the small cushion where you need it.
Comfort is personal, so try small changes rather than forcing one position. The pillow is made for support and comfort; it is not a treatment for pain. If discomfort is strong, new or keeps coming back, speak with a healthcare professional.
What if the pillow feels too firm or unfamiliar?
It is normal to need a little time to find your favourite arrangement. Begin with one or two cushions, then add the others if you want more support. You can move a wedge slightly away from your body if it feels like it is pressing too much.
After unpacking, give the cushions time to regain their shape and gently fluff them before use. If a piece still feels unusual or looks uneven, contact our Support team with a photo so we can take a look with you.
Can I use it if I tend to sleep hot?
You can make the setup as open as you like. Because the cushions are separate, you do not have to wrap a full-body pillow around yourself. Use only the pieces you need and leave more space around your body if you prefer.
The removable cover is made from a bamboo and polyester blend. Your room temperature, bedding and personal preferences will also affect how warm you feel, so adjust the number and position of the cushions until you are comfortable.
What is the pillow made from?
The removable cover is a bamboo and polyester blend. Inside, the cushions use polyester fibres and microfibre balls for soft, adjustable support. The fabric is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and tested for harmful substances.
We know materials matter when something is close to you night after night. You can find more detail on the Maternity Pillow page. If you have a specific material sensitivity, check the product details and care label before use, or contact us with your question.
Can I wash the pillow?
Yes, the removable covers can be machine washed on a gentle cold-to-warm cycle. Wash them with similar colours and let them dry completely before putting them back on the cushions. Always follow the care label for the best result.
The inner pillow pieces need different care, so check their labels before cleaning them. An extra cover can be handy if you want to keep using your pillow while a freshly washed cover dries.
Why does my pillow look flat when I unpack it?
The cushions may be compressed for shipping, so they can look flatter than expected straight out of the package. Open the packaging, give each piece time to regain its shape and gently fluff the filling with your hands.
If one cushion still looks uneven after it has had time to expand, send Support a photo together with your order number. We can help you check whether everything is as it should be. Please keep the packaging away from babies and children.
Shipping & orders
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is free, with no minimum order value. You will see the available delivery options for your address at checkout before you place your order.
If an express option or a special shipping charge is available for your destination, its price will be shown there before you pay. For the full details, including international orders, have a look at our Shipping Policy.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Estimated delivery is 2–7 business days for the USA and Canada, and 2–14 business days for the EU and other destinations. Orders usually need 1–3 business days for processing before they are on their way.
These are estimates, so weekends, holidays, customs checks and carrier delays may change the arrival date. Once your parcel ships, we will email you tracking details so you can follow its journey. If the expected window has passed, contact us with your order number and we will help you check it.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has shipped, we will send a tracking link to the email address you used at checkout. You can also enter your details on our Track Your Order page whenever you want an update.
For international orders, tracking may take 2–5 business days to show its first movement after the shipping email arrives. If you cannot find the email, check your spam folder first. If the link still does not work, contact Support with your order number.
Can I change my address or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as you notice a mistake or change your mind, and include your order number and the details you want to update. We will check the status of your order and let you know what is still possible.
We start processing orders quickly, so there can be only a short window to change an address or cancel. Once a parcel is being prepared or has left us, we may not be able to stop or redirect it. Getting in touch right away gives us the best chance to help.
What if my order is late or missing?
Start with your tracking link to see the latest carrier update. If the estimated delivery window has passed, or the tracking has not moved for 5 business days, contact Support with your order number and tracking link. We will help you work out the next step.
If tracking says the parcel was delivered but you cannot find it, check around the delivery address and with anyone who may have accepted it. Then contact the carrier using the tracking details and let us know what they say.
Why did my order arrive in more than one parcel?
Some RestingBelly products may ship from different distribution centres. If your order contains more than one item, they can arrive in separate parcels on different days, each with its own tracking updates.
There is no extra shipping charge simply because we split your order. If one item has arrived and you are still waiting for another, check the shipping emails for any additional tracking numbers. You can also contact us with your order number if you would like help locating the rest.
Will I have to pay customs fees?
That depends on your destination and the value of your order. Where required and supported, taxes are collected at checkout. Some international parcels may still be charged local import duties, VAT or handling fees when they reach the destination country.
These charges are set by local authorities or carriers and can differ between countries. Check the total shown at checkout and read our Shipping Policy for more detail. If you are unsure about your destination, contact us before ordering.
60-day trial & returns for all products
How does the 60-day trial work?
The 60-day trial applies to every RestingBelly product. Your 60 days start on the day your order is delivered, giving you time to try the item at home and decide whether it is right for you.
If you are not happy with a product, contact us within those 60 days with your order number. We will explain how to return it and where to send it. Once the return has been handled, we will arrange a refund for the returned item. Please contact us before sending anything back so we can give you the correct instructions.
How do I return an item?
Start by contacting us through our Contact page. Include your order number, the product you want to return and a short note about the reason. If the item arrived damaged or faulty, photos will help us understand the issue.
Our team will reply with the next steps and the correct return address. Please wait for those instructions before posting a parcel, as sending it to the wrong place may delay your return. The 60-day trial applies to all RestingBelly products, so get in touch within 60 days of delivery.
Does the 60-day trial apply to all products?
Yes. It covers the full RestingBelly range, not only the Maternity Pillow. Whether you ordered a pillow, clothing, a support product or another item, you have 60 days from delivery to contact us if it is not right for you.
Tell us which item you would like to return and include your order number. We will walk you through the steps for that product. You can also read our Return Policy for the full return information.
What if something arrives damaged or faulty?
We are sorry if your order arrives in that condition. Contact our Support team as soon as you notice the problem, and include your order number along with clear photos of the item and its packaging. A short description of what is wrong also helps.
We will review the details and explain the next step for your order. Please keep the item and packaging while we look into it, and wait for our instructions before sending anything back.
What if I ordered the wrong size?
Get in touch with us before sending the item back. Include your order number, the product, the size you received and the size you were hoping for. We will check the options for that item and help you work out the next step.
The 60-day trial applies to all RestingBelly products. Please contact us within 60 days of delivery if your size is not right. If your item has a seal or special care instructions, let us know its condition so we can give you the correct return guidance.
Other RestingBelly products
What is the difference between a pregnancy support belt and a postpartum band?
A pregnancy support belt is designed to be worn while your bump is growing. A postpartum band is made for adjustable support after birth. They are intended for different stages, so the right choice depends on when and how you want to use it.
Check the instructions for the specific product before wearing it, especially for fit and how long to wear it. If you have recently had a C-section or have questions about your recovery, ask your midwife or healthcare professional when it is suitable for you to start using a band.
Can the Baby Lounger be used for sleep?
No. The RestingBelly Baby Lounger is for supervised awake time only. Stay with your baby whenever they are in it, and do not use it for naps, overnight sleep or as a sleep space inside an adult bed.
If your baby becomes sleepy or falls asleep, move them to a suitable firm, flat sleep surface and place them on their back. Always follow the safe-sleep guidance recommended where you live. If you have questions about how to use the lounger, contact us before using it.
How do I care for other RestingBelly products?
Start with the care label on the item you bought. RestingBelly products include pillows, clothing and support products made from different materials, so one washing method will not suit everything.
Check whether the label calls for a gentle wash, hand washing or another care method, and follow any drying instructions before using the item again. If the label is missing or unclear, send us the product name and a photo through our Contact page and we will help you find the right care information.
